This was the first I wrote of three interrelated stories here, but not the first in their chronology. I called it Moral Biology at the time, then, inspired to do something concerning translation and its difficulties when concerning an alien with an entirely different biology to us, went on to write the next. When I finished that I realised the title better belonged to the second story so snaffled it for that and put the title on this you see here. Published in Clarkesworld Magazine Feb 2020.
